For Immediate Release

This original parody of a classic film comes revving onto the stage and it’s going

to be heavy.

September 18 - October 3, 2015

OGDEN, UT-August 25, 2015- Almost 30 years ago, Marty and Doc travelled to 2015 in the classic film series, Back to the Future. Now that time has finally caught up with the film, The Ziegfeld Theater is thrilled to celebrate our arrival world premiere of an original parody, Back to the Present. This fast-paced comedy follows the plot of the classic film before taking a totally unexpected twist--taking Marty to the actual 2015. With no hoverboards or flying cars, this isn’t the future he was expecting!

Back to the Present is directed by Rick Rea and written by Bryan Dayley. Dayley, known one of Utah’s most gifted comedic actors, has also written several hit parodies seen by thousands of guests at Desert Star Theater in Salt Lake City. This “timely” production is performed by some of Utah’s best comedic talent and a script that both fans and novices to the classic film will love.

Back to the Present opens Sept 18 and performs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $12-15 and available online at, over the phone at 855-ZIG-ARTS, or in person at the Box Office on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Tickets are an additional $2 if purchased the night of the performance after 6:30 PM. The Ziegfeld Theater is located at 3934 S. Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84403.

The Ziegfeld Theater continues its third season in 2015 with an original and hilarious take on a favorite film, after producing four Broadway blockbusters. Under the executive leadership of Caleb and Morgan Parry and the artistic leadership of Rick Rea, the theater pursues a mission of Professional Standard, Community Spirit as it strives to bring quality entertainment to diverse audiences in Northern Utah.
