THE BELOVED FILM, NOW AN ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER BROADWAY HIT, PREMIERES IN NORTHERN UTAH WITH A CAST FULL OF TALENTED KIDS
January 17 - February 2, 2019
OGDEN, UT-December 17, 2018 - Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme. The hit movie is now onstage with guitar-shredding, bass slapping kids rocking their hearts out to new songs by world favorite, Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Failed wannabe rock star Dewey Finn decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a band to battle the best, but under the radar of their parents and headmistress. This Zig Prep production, featuring our most talented local teens, is sure to impress and entertain all ages.
School of Rock The Next Generation is directed by Morgan Parry, music directed by Heidi Potter Hunt and choreographed by Joshua Samuel Robinson.
Zig Prep Theater is a youth theater program of The Ziegfeld Theater and begins 2019 with an exciting rock musical premiere. Under the executive leadership of Caleb Parry, The Ziegfeld Theater and its educational programs pursue a mission of “Professional Standard, Community Spirit” as they strive to bring quality entertainment to diverse audiences in Northern Utah.
