This is a TOURING SHOW that will perform at the Ziegfeld Theater in Ogden and at the Egyptian Theater in Park City and is being presented in ENGLISH and *AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE. *All actors must sign (no experience required).
We are seeking a diverse group of strong singers, dancers, and actors of all races, genders, shapes, and sizes. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE *DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING ACTORS TO AUDITION. WE ARE ALSO SEEKING BLIND ACTORS. (*With provided interpreters at every rehearsal.)
4’11” AND UNDER ENSEMBLE: There are several roles available for actors *4 foot, 11 inches and shorter. (*We are not concerned about age, only height). Roles available are: Munchkins, Monkeys, and Emerald City ensemble. We are looking to *double cast 12 roles for a total of 24 people in the cast. *Please note; double cast roles receive half the regular stipend ($150 for the run).
PAID SHOW: Actors will receive a stipend of $300, two season tickets to the Ziegfeld Theater good for one year, and a $200 Park City Egyptian Theater gift certificate.
AUDITIONS: Video submissions are due no later than Thursday, June 2nd at 11:59 pm. Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the *style of the show, (*songs from the show are allowed/ encouraged).
CALLBACKS: will be held June 4th from 12- 6 pm with a TBA callback in June 6th from 7- 10 pm by invitation only.
REHEARSAL DATES: Rehearsals will begin June 13th and will typically take place Monday- Thursday evenings, 7- 10 pm and Saturday mornings, 10- 2 pm. With a Sunday cue to cue rehearsal on August 7th from 2- 10 pm. Rehearsal times will extend to 6 pm- Midnight during the tech weeks for Ogden (8/8- 8/11) and Park City (9/5- 9/8).
