Audition Notice: "9 TO 5" Music and Lyrics by Dolly Parton and Book by Patricia Resnick. Directed by Rebecca J. Knowles, Choreographed by Kacee Neff with Music Direction by Morgan Parry.
“9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.”
***Show pays a flat rate of $300 with a $200 gift card to the Egyptian Theatre. All actors will also receive 2 season passes to The Ziegfeld Theater. All actors must be available for ALL performances in Ogden and Park City to receive stipend.***
PERFORMANCES: Will be held at The Ziegfeld Theater on August 20th- Sept 4th. Friday and Saturday evenings 7:30 PM with a matinee on August 28th at 2 PM with possible added performances on 8/26, 8/30, and 9/4 (mat). And at the Park City Egyptian Theatre on September 10th- 19th on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 6 PM.
**Call times are generally 1 and a half hours before the performance. Please keep this information in mind when detailing any conflicts.**
ROLES: ALL ROLES ARE OPEN. We are seeking strong singer/actors that move well. Actors of ALL races and skin color are HIGHLY encouraged to audition. Roles will not be assigned based on race. Character Breakdown can be found HERE.
AUDITIONS (VIDEO SUBMISSION): all videos will be due no later than June 20th at 11:59 PM.
1 Song: 30- 60 seconds of a song in the style of the show.
CALLBACK: Call backs will be by invitation only and will be in person at the Ziegfeld Arts Academy on June 22nd and 23rd, at 6 pm

REHEARSALS will begin July 1st over *Zoom with our first in-person rehearsal on July 3rd, 2021. Most rehearsals will be held at the Ziegfeld Arts Academy, Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturday morning/afternoon. (*We may have a number of rehearsals over Zoom.) As well as 1 week of tech/ spacing the week of September 6th- 9th in the evenings when we transfer the show to Park City.
SAFETY: We will be taking every safety measure possible throughout this process. No person will be allowed to attend our first in-person rehearsal without first providing proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative test result for Covid-19 within 72 hrs of July 1st. We will have enhanced sanitization of rehearsal and performance spaces to provide extra safety.
